Westel R. Willoughby ’16

Body

Wes died on July 3 in Washington after a series of strokes. Before our entry into WWI, Wes served in the American Field Service and the French Foreign Legion Air Force. He was then commissioned in the U.S. Army Air Force. After the war, he served for seven years in the State Dept, was an officer in a bank in Washington, and then joined the staff of the National Archives. He retired as chief of division. Active in community affairs, he was president of the Northeast Boys Club and worked for the Children's Protective Assn. He was a loyal member of the class, which extends sympathy to his widow, three children, and nine great-grandchildren.
