William Bayard McCoy ’32

BY MCCOY, who lived and worked in Rochester, N.Y., all his life, died there on Jan. 12, 1993.

After a brief period as an architect with the firm of Gordon & Kaelber, By joined StecherTraung Lithograph Corp. He worked up through the various departments until retiring in 1974, having been V.P. and sales manager of the Rochester division and a director since 1960.

During WWII, he was in charge of his company's operations for producing maps for the Army, and he lithographed promotional materials for government agencies. His numerous civic interests included working with the Rochester Community Chest, Chamber of Commerce, and the Republican Finance Committee; he also served on the Brighton Architectural Review Board and the Brighton Conservation Board. As a loyal Princeton alumnus, he served as regional representative for the Annual Giving campaign and the Princeton Schools and Scholarship Committee of Rochester.

By is survived by his wife of 56 years, Isabel; a son, William B. Jr.; a daughter, Ann Cashell; and a brother, Albert; to all of whom the Class offers its sincere condolences.
