AT 80, BILL DIED of cancer Sept. 26, 1993, at Longwood at Oakmont, a retirement community in Verona, Penn., to which he moved in the latter weeks of his life.

He prepared at Mercersburg Academy. At Princeton, he majored with honors in civil engineering and was a member of Tower Club. He spent his entire business career of more than 40 years with the Jones and Loughlin Steel Corp. He moved up from a sales training course to responsible positions in sales management at the Pittsburgh main office and in NYC. In his latter years, he lived in Wyckoff, N.J., and Old Greenwich, Conn.

Bill was a member of the Princeton Club of NYC, Fox Chapel Golf Club, Innis Arden C.C., and the Society of Mayflower Descendants.

He is survived by his widow, Dorothy (Motheral), whom he married in 1940; a son, William F. 111; daughters Louise Meyer and Elizabeth Hawkins; and seven grandchildren. Bill will be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal Princetonian and classmate, for his zest for life, and his very friendly manner to all who surrounded him.
