William John Gemmel Jr. ’42

Body

BILL DIED Nov. 19, 1991, in Bay St. Louis, Mo., his home for many years. After spending his entire career in the sale and marketing of basic metals, including steel, copper, and brass, his last position was with Revew Copper & Brass as a sales account executive. He had previously been a district sales manager, operating out of Metairie, La. Bill had also spent several years with the Penn Forge Corp. of Tacony, Penn.

Bill entered the Class from Wyoming Seminary and left Princeton before graduation to join the Navy. He served for five years, ending up with the rank of lieutenant commander. Following retirement in 1985, Bill took an active interest in the community affairs of Diamondhead, a community similar to Pineburst, only on a much smaller scale, where he had resided for 12 years.

To Bill's widow, Marge, and to his daughters Sally and Candy, the Class offers its most sincere condolences.
