William Lawrence Williams ’48

Bill Williams died March 1, 2010.

He came to us by way of North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Ill. At Princeton he was in Charter and graduated with honors in history.

Bill’s career was in the hospital-equipment industry. He worked for Air Shields, for Parke-Davis from 1970 to 1980, and for Lionville Systems until his retirement. He volunteered with the United Way and in recent years with Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. He participated in tennis and golf and was well known for his needlepoint.

Bill and Dana were married in 1949. She survives him as do their sons, Tom, Toby, and Peter ’82, and seven grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his son Ford and daughter Linn.
