Bill died Oct. 25, 2016. He was a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas.

Born in New York City, Bill came to Princeton from the Horace Mann School in Riverdale. He joined Whig-Clio, served as technical director for Theatre Intime, majored in politics, and ate at Court.

Two years with the Second Armored Division in Texas preceded a move to San Antonio and Bill’s entry into the investment world, and after four decades with a San Antonio investment firm, he struck out on his own. In 1971 he married Rosemary Plater-Zyberk.

Bill toiled indefatigably for Princeton. He re-established the Princeton Club of San Antonio, serving as its president for 12 years and prompting Princeton’s creation of the Princeton Club of San Antonio Award to recognize excellence in smaller alumni-association work. He served the local Schools Committee for 16 years and was regional Annual Giving chairman for 19 years, raising the giving percentage from 42 to 90 percent! In 1982 he was the first recipient of the Jerry Horton Award, honoring special work for Annual Giving. He served as our class agent from 1979 to 1984, achieving a 76.2 percent giving rate for our 25th reunion and receiving the Alumni Council Award for Service to Princeton.

Bill is survived by Rosemary and their sons, William ’99 and Andrew ’01. We have sent condolences.
