OUR POPULAR and respected classmate Bill Scull died on Jan. 4, 1990, after a stroke, which occurred while visiting his stepdaughter on Christmas Day.

He was born in Bryn Mawr, Penn., on Aug. 12, 1902. He earned his letter in all three major sports at St. Paul's School. At Princeton, he rowed on the freshman crew and played freshman and varsity hockey. He was an undergraduate officer of Ivy.

He joined his father's firm, Wm. S. Scull & Co. of Camden, N.J., retiring as a V.P. He was an ardent fisherman, both deep-sea and trout, and was a long-time member of the Bright Creek Park Assn. in the Poconos. He was a member of the Racquet Club of Philadelphia and the Merion Cricket Club. He moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where he enjoyed crabbing and field sports.

Among his Princeton relatives were J. B. Hyle '16, a brother Barclay '22, and Carl De la Cour '23.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Honora Bertelsen, a brother, Theodore C. Scull, three nephews, Nicolas, Theodore W., and Charles Scull, and a niece, Mary Walton.
