Body

BILL RILEY DIED of heart failure July l, 1994, at his home in Atherton, Calif. Bill's son, Miles, a priest, officiated at funeral services held at St. Raymond's Church in Menlo Park. Bill was born a Hoosier and came to Princeton from Culver Military Academy. Naturally gregarious, he roomed at various times with Campagna, Reilly, Neidlinger, and Neu. He belonged to Cannon Club and was an enthusiastic chorus hoofer on Triangle Club trips. His major was politics.

After graduation, Bill carved out an illustrious career in machine tools and became president of Riley Precision Tool Co. in San Francisco. He was active in social and business clubs, and still found time to travel extensively with his family. He was a captain in the air force during WWII, stationed in Montreal.

He married Frances O'Brien in 1936; she died in 1985. Bill and Francie had seven children: Rev. Father Miles, Anne, William Jr., Frances, Patrick, Thomas, and James. Bill was married again in 1986 to Adalene Ross, who survives. The class sends sincere sympathy to the family, and mourns the loss of another worthy classmate.
