WORRAL F. "WHITIF." MOUNTAIN, 83, died Aug. 24, 1992, in Princeton. He prepared at Mercersburg Academy. At Princeton he roomed for four years with J. R. Prior, and was a member of the freshman and varsity swimming teams. He was a member of Cannon Club. A graduate of Harvard Law School '34, Whitie was associated with the law firm of Pitney, Hardin & Ward in Newark for a number of years. Upon moving to Morristown, he became a partner in Mills, Jeffers & Mountain. During WWII he served as an intelligence officer with the U.S. Navy. He was appointed a justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, and retired from that position in 1979. He served our Class well and faithfully in a variety of positions, most recently as our president.

He served his communities through many organizations, including the New Jersey Historical Society, Children's Aid Society of Newark, Morris County Community Chest, Memorial Hospital, St. Peter's Church, Peck School, and the library, all of Morristown. Most recently, he and Grace provided leadership to their retirement community, Meadow Lakes, in Hightstown, NJ.

He is survived by his widow, Grace; daughter Beverley Galban; son John; brother Thomas; three grandsons; and stepsons George and Peter Oram.
