40 Years of Evolution by Peter and Rosemary Grant

40 Years of Evolution

Peter and Rosemary Grant’s groundbreaking 40-year study of the finch population on the small island of Daphne Major in Galápagos archipelago is documented in 40 Years of Evolution (Princeton University Press). Both emeritus professors in Princeton’s Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology were able to measure changes in the population over the period, contributing to society’s understanding of evolution. The new edition of this book combines their field studies with more modern advancements in the field of genomics to provide additional insights into the adaptive nature of the bird population.
