All the Flowers

(Nepperhan Press) This novel tells the story of Teri Ryan, a college student in the late 1960s who fears that her twin brother will enlist in the Army to win the respect of their father. Teri opposes the war. After a fierce fight with her father about it, she leaves home to live with Andre Malinowski, a gifted young pianist who has fallen in love with her. Andre joins her antiwar group, and together they try to maintain a nonviolent approach. Yet the events culminating in the Kent State massacre ultimately challenge their values, and Teri struggles with the temptation to join an urban guerrilla army in its war against the government. Milton is also the author of the novels No Way to Peace and The Admiral’s Daughter .
