All Things Considered: An Advanced Reader of Modern Chinese
(Princeton University Press) Designed for students who have completed at least two years of college Chinese, the lessons in this textbook promote student discussion and include thought-provoking topics relevant to contemporary Chinese society. The first 12 lessons are in dialogue form, while the remaining lessons are adapted from Chinese newspaper and magazine articles. Chou is a professor of East Asian studies at Princeton and director of the Chinese language and Princeton in Beijing programs.
