(Hyperion)   In this memoir Agnes Kamara-Umunna describes her life spent gathering the stories of former child soldiers and their victims, both in her home country of Liberia and in New York. It also explores Liberia’s descent into civil war and its subsequent healing and recovery. Holland is a former CNN producer who has contributed to Glamour, Jane, The Huffington Post, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Princeton Alumni Weekly, and Women’s Adventure Magazine. She is currently pursuing her J.D. at Berkeley Law School.
