Arabic Poetics: Aesthetic Experience in Classical Arabic Literature

Arabic Poetics argues that post-11th-century Arabic literature and literary criticism had moved away from valuing traditional or static rhetorical forms and instead valued the ability of language to invoke wonder in the reader. Harb explores this thesis with works and examples in Arabic literature.
