The Archivists

  The Archivists (Northwestern University Press) by Daphne Kalotay is a collection capturing characters that serve as real everyday people who experience shocks of history that lead to surprising moments of connection. From the economic crash of 2008 to the pandemic lockdown, the book includes deeply moving stories that tackle identity and more as people navigate the curveballs of life. Kalotay’s collection received the Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction.
