Banjo Boy

This live cast CD of Randolph Hobler ’68’s musical, Banjo Boy, features 20 original songs from the premiere in August 2008 at the Stephen Sondheim Performing Arts Center in Fairfield, Iowa. Banjo Boy tells the story of Meredith Willson, who wrote the book, lyrics, and music for the 1957 Broadway Best Musical hit, The Music Man. Hobler’s bio-musical imagines that Willson comes back from heaven to change a few things about his life, including repairing his relationship with his father.
