In 1949, former secretary of defense James Forrestal died from a fall off the 16th floor of a building in Bethesda, Md. In 1957, senator Joseph McCarthy died of acute hepatitis. In 1963, President John F. Kenndy was assassinated. J.C. Hawkins ’70 refuses to believe that the deaths of three of the most important men in the fight against communism is a coincidence. Betrayal at Bethesda is his exposé that presents an alternate theory to all three deaths.
