Beyond Babylon (Two Lines) weaves together interpersonal and external conflict, as two half-sisters, connected only through a mostly-absent father, maneuver through war in Argentina and Somalia before coming to Italy. Translator Aaron Robertson ’17 initially translated the book as his senior thesis at Princeton before receiving a Rhodes Scholarship and a PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grant.
