This memoir from Peter Stein *69 tells his story of growing up under the Nazi regime, where his Jewish father disappeared, to his life as an immigrant in the United States. After immigrating as a 12-year-old, he took on a new identity in his new country. However, as a college professor, when a group of students enlisted his help with a project relating to the Holocaust, memories returned.
