Building Culture
Made for architects and art lovers, Building Culture (Princeton Architectural Press) gives readers an inside look at the world of art museums. It includes accounts from 16 architects — who’ve designed for the New Museum, the Museum of Natural History, Tate Modern, and more — who reflect on how art museums shape the way society views art, architecture, and public spaces. Among those featured are Elizabeth Diller, Frank Gehry, and Kulapat Yantrasast. Plus the book includes a foreword written by Yve-Alain Bois, an emeritus professor of art history at the Institute for Advanced Study.
