(National Scouting Museum) The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910. This commemorative book documents the Boy Scouts of America’s 100th anniversary celebration – which lasted two years and involved events around the United States. The book also tells the story of the National Scouting Museum, which was a gift of Gale F. Johnston ’24 and his sons Gale Jr. ’49, Chambless ’51, and Norfleet ’56. It opened in 1959. Johnston is a member of the National Scouting Museum Committee.
