(Ecco) This debut novel tells the story of Eliza Poinsett, an art historian returning home to Charleston, S.C., after more than a decade away. Imbued with the rich history of Charleston itself, the novel explores how notions of home and place inevitably shape our lives. Bradham Thornton is the editor of Tennessee Williams’s notebooks and a native of Charleston.
