City of Forests, City of Farms (Cornell University Press) is Lindsay K. Campbell ’02’s history of recent forestry and agriculture programs in New York City. She focuses on the PlaNYC initiative, begun in 2007, to explore how nature is constructed in New York and to investigate why, despite the city’s history of community gardening, the plan never mentions it.
