Civil War Places

Civil War Places: Seeing the Conflict through the Eyes of Its Leading Historians (UNC Press) collects the writing of more than two dozen historians, each of whom writes about a particular place significant to the Civil War. Every entry explores a place’s relevance to the conflict, and shows modern photographs of the location.
