(Oxford University Press) In this book, von Vacano suggests that the tradition of Latin American and Hispanic political thought can provide ways of thinking about the connections between race and citizenship. He compares the way race is conceived across the writings of four thinkers, and across four different eras. Diego von Vacano is an assistant professor of political science at Texas A&M University and a fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.
