Conservative Party-Building in Latin America

In his new book, Loxton investigates the origins of strong conservative political parties formed in Latin America between 1978 and 2010. Through a comparative analysis, he discovers that the most successful parties were rooted in former dictatorships and used the resources inherited from these regimes to thrive.
