The shells of Conus, the largest genus of animals in the sea, are known for their beauty and amazing variety. This book identifies and illustrates 53 valid species of the southeastern United States and the Caribbean, and includes descriptions of the genus and individual species. Kohn is a professor emeritus of biology at the University of Washington.
