Crossing the Line

(AuthorHouse) In this novel, Owen Gilroy sets out to help his grandson, Sam, come to terms with his sexuality. In order to do so, however, he must examine his own life by exploring that of their ancestor, Hiram Milhouse, a prominent 19th century scientist. Through the weaving of past and present, this novel explores the changing shape of American society and the universality of human emotions over time. Miller is a professor emeritus of political science at Temple University, a published poet, and artist. His play, The Eye of a Bird, has been produced in Philadelphia and New York.
