(Erica Lehrer Books) This volume of poetry is informed partially by the progressive neurological disease of ataxia, and partially by the happy moments of life. The author, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2010, notes in one of the poems, “I am more than the sum of my symptoms.” Part of the proceeds from the sale of Dancing with Ataxia will be donated to the National Ataxia Foundation and Princeton University's neuroscience department. Lehrer is a former lawyer.
