Elastic Architecture (MIT Press) explores the work of Frederick Kiesler, a man who bucked architectural trends to create more organic forms and flexible structures. Stephen Phillips *08 argues that Kiesler created a new type of architect, one who was an innovative research practitioner rather than a master builder. Phillips is a professor of architecture at California Polytechnic State University.
