After casting a spell to create a sentient plant companion, Terlu Perna was turned into a wooden statue as punishment. Suddenly, however, she awakes on an island full of magical greenhouses. The island’s sole human inhabitant, a gardener, provides Terlu with food and shelter until she is ready to journey home, but Terlu is hesitant to leave the greenhouses behind. Her desire to stay is cemented when she learns that the greenhouses are in danger, as the magic that keeps the plants alive is failing, and she knows she must do what she can to save them. Risking her freedom again, Terlu teams up with the gardener and a sentient rose to save the island before it’s too late. The Enchanted Greenhouse (Tor Publishing Group), invites readers to re-enter the world of Durst’s previous novel The Spellshop in this new cozy fantasy.
