Engraving on English Table Clocks (Holywell) introduces readers to the fascinating and intricate world of table clock engraving. Meant as tools and decorations, the backplates of English table clocks were often finely engraved with natural or mythological images. The book contains more than 700 detailed photos, with extensive descriptions about the historical and artistic context behind the clock designs and the work of their makers.
