Entre Nous: Between the World Cup and Me (Duke University Press) explores the relationship between sports and the sense of belonging, and probes the effects of a philosophical approach to sports. Grant Farred *97 draws on his own experience playing soccer both for Princeton’s graduate student team and an amateur team in South Africa, as well as the careers of renowned stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, in this study.
