Family and Empire: The Fernández de Córdoba and the Spanish Realm
(University of Pennsylvania Press) In this book, Liang looks at the forces that connected the Spanish empire, examining the familial ties spread throughout the empire. He focuses his investigation on the Fernández de Córdoba family and how its dispersion throughout the empire helped connect vastly different regions. Liang is an assistant professor of history at Wheaton College.
