Family Lexicon

Family Lexicon (NYRB Classics) is a novel about family, language, and storytelling set in the urban industrial center of Turin as Mussolini weighs down Italy and brings it closer to war. A combination of memoir and fiction on the part of author Natalia Ginzburg, this novel tells the tale of a Jewish husband, a Catholic wife, and the journeys their children embark on as they pursue diverse careers.
