Fields of Learning: The Student Farm Movement in North America
(The University Press of Kentucky) This collection of essays explores the history and current implications of the movement across colleges to strengthen agricultural education. The movement’s supporters argue for the establishment of on-campus farms and gardens where students can learn experientially, while providing food for the community. Sayre is a postdoctoral researcher with the French National Institute for Agronomic Research.
