Fixing Stories (Cambridge University Press) examines the key role of the fixer as an asset to international news reporting. Focused specifically on those who bridge gaps between journalists and locals in Turkey and Syria, Arjomand offers insightful perspectives on the way fixers shape the news. Structured as a series of narrative reflections from fixers who were involved in notable news events including the Syrian Civil War and Turkey’s 2016 coup attempt, Arjomand highlights this often undervalued role.
