Paul recovers from a fungal infection that nearly kills him, gaining new mental abilities. However, his brother, Neil, realizes that Paul and others who have been infected with the same fungus, seem to be working toward a common, and deadly goal. The Genius Plague (Pyr) is a science-fiction thriller that deals with questions like free will and individual choice.
