(Potomac Books) During Hull’s tenure as American ambassador to Yemen (2001-2004), al-Qaeda’s safe haven in Yemen was disrupted. In this book, Hull provides an account of his team’s execution of a strategy that tried to improve Yemen’s security and economic development. Hull is a retired Foreign Service officer whose posts included Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, and Yemen. He also has held a position as diplomat-in-residence in the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
