Histories of Computing
(Harvard University Press) This book is a collection of 13 of the late Mahoney’s essays and papers. Mahoney was a historian of science, who was among the first to delve into the understanding of information technology. They span three topics: historiography, software engineering, and theoretical computer science. Mahoney was professor of history and history of science at Princeton University.
