(Orchid Press) A first-hand narrative and analysis of the first set of U.S. Peace Corps volunteers to travel to Nepal in 1962, Fisher’s book explores the impact of the volunteers on Nepal — and Nepal’s influence on the volunteers. Fisher taught at Carleton College for 38 years, retiring in 2009 to help start a college in Bhutan.
