(Spiegel and Grau) Braude explores the story of an ordinary Islamic citizen whose life clashes with the underbelly of the Moroccan police. Braude befriends the unemployed Muslim Berber Muhammad Bari, whose best friend was killed in a warehouse where he had been sleeping for five years. Braude, suspecting a cover-up, launches his own investigation of the murder. The author is a journalist whose work has been published The New Republic, Best Life, and Playboy, among other publications.
