(Lorimer Press) Abbott’s sixth collection of poetry includes a CD of him reading 20 of the poems. He explores the stages of life and deals with loss, sainthood, and memory’s wounds, among other topics. An English professor emeritus at Davidson College, he has written four critical studies, two novels, and six books of poetry, including the Pulitzer-nominated The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat.
