Impersonation is a collection of poetry written over the course of 10 years as Joy (formerly Jay) Ladin *00 transitioned from living as a man to living as a woman. The poems explore the messy and profound process of gender transition. Ladin is a professor of English at Yeshiva University and the author of six collections of poetry.
