L’Amie Américaine: Chroniques d’une New-Yorkaise à Paris
(Les éditions du Toucan) In this book, Kaplan presents what she calls her attempt to get at “the Frenchiness of the French.” Exploring what makes the French French – their obsessions, their vacations, their social security, their sensuality – she also attempts to explain Americans to the French by addressing many classic assumptions. She is currently working on an English adaptation of the book, originally written in French. Kaplan lives in Paris. A freelance journalist, she is also the co-author (with Robin Epstein ’95) of the novel Shaking Her Assets.
