(Smithsonian Books) This anthology of modern and Civil War era poems includes poems by John Koethe ’67, two Princeton professors — Paul Muldoon and Tracy K. Smith — as well as famous nineteenth-century poets like Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman. Including photographs as well, Lines in Long Array highlights the Civil War’s continued effect on the American cultural and racial landscape. Goodyear is the co-director of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art and previously served as curator of photographs at the National Portrait Gallery.
