The Longest Exile (Little Piggy Publishing) drops readers in the year 8 A.D. in Rome where Julia is four months pregnant. What would normally be a moment of joy for the eldest granddaughter of Augustus is instead one of pain as Julia’s husband was executed a year ago, so it’s evident that the baby is not his. Julia is exiled to the Adriatic Island as a result and is forced to pick up the pieces of her life — not only for herself, but also for her unborn child.
