The first in a trilogy, The Lost is about a woman trapped in a town full of lost things and lost people. One morning Lauren gets in her car, but instead of driving to work, she drives until she runs out of gas. She finds herself trapped by an impassable dust storm in a town called Lost. This is Durst’s first book for adults; she is the author of several novels for young adults.
