(Winsted Press) In this novel, Michael Collins, a Washington political fixer facing an impending bribery scandal, returns home for the funeral of his brother. He is confronted with his own romantic past when he learns that Sandra Palmer — a girl he loved and who inexplicably betrayed him — committed suicide. His investigations into her death and their own unresolved past draws him back to his own family roots in Venice. Cleveland is a novelist and art historian. He works as an art adviser in New York with his son, Carter Cleveland ’09, founder of Artsy.net.
