Today’s markets are crafted by people, firms, and governments, which makes marketcraft as vital as statecraft. Free markets do not exist, and successful economies are often highly regulated, like the United States. Marketcraft (Oxford University Press) argues that whatever a politician’s affiliation, he or she should be trained in regulating markets as much as other areas of governance.
